Black Nails You Need To Try For Fall

September 6, 2021

It’s just another mani-Monday! Nail color trends are as dynamic as the changing seasons, evolving year after year. But as the sun-soaked days of summer slowly fade and the crispness of fall settles in, there’s one hue that makes a triumphant return – black! Today, we’re tipping our hats to that captivating midnight shade, exploring a range of innovative ways to flaunt this bewitching color throughout the autumn season.

My personal go-to, a shade that never fails to enchant, is OPI’s ‘Lincoln Park After Dark.’ I can’t help but receive a flurry of compliments whenever I wear it. Give it a whirl, and you’re bound to fall head over heels too! And that’s not all – there’s a whole universe of other black nail polishes waiting to steal your heart:

Black Nails with Animal Print

Pairing a black polish with animal print creates a fun look for this fall. Nail wraps are a super-easy way to accomplish this type of look. Both a high-gloss or matte black polish would look great.  Plus, a complimentary nude nail added into the mix adds an even more chic touch!

Black Nails with Glitter

Pair a high gloss black with a shimmer and sparkle top coat of your choice! Paint just an accent finger or cover all ten in sparkle — you can’t go wrong with this dazzling combination.

Matte Black Nails

Although glossy nails are way more common, matte nails have been gaining popularity over the years for their cool finish and ease of adding design. This season, give the trendy black matte nail a try!

Matte with Design

Because of the ease of adding design to matte nails (mentioned right above), give a fun Halloween design a try this season.

Black Brown Nails

Brown nail polish is trending for this fall. Take it a step further and opt for a black-brown polish for a deeper, more enchanting look for the upcoming season.

Black Nails with Horizontal Line Design

A perfect and subtle way for anyone to add a chic and simple design to their black nails — horizontal lines. This design would look just as great with matte black, but we are loving the high gloss shine!

High Gloss Black Nails

When in doubt, go for the classic high gloss look for your black nails. I love to use a protectant topcoat that adds even more of a glossy finish to the base color.

    Thank you for the ideas!
I’ve never liked how my nails looked with glossy black polish but black matte nails are definitely worth trying!

As a serial highlighter and tabber, this book would have been ABSOLUTELY COVERED in little tabs if it was a physical copy. My Kindle highlights will have to suffice until pub day (June 2027) because I have so many thoughts.

the ghosts, the art, the wasps, the homewrecking…

This book was strange, sad, funny, beautifully unsettling, and somehow incredibly comforting all at once… and I loved it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My full review ⚠️with spoilers ⚠️ is up on the blog!

Thank you @netgalley @spiegelandgrau @beckymandelbaum for this amazing ARC!
