Ikea Tarva Dresser Hacks with Cane Webbing

February 9, 2022

The star of today’s IKEA hack is the one and only cane webbing! We previously shared some of our favorite boho-inspired Tarva hacks, which featured cane webbing in a few of the makeovers. Those pieces sparked a lot of interest, which is why we are dedicating this post to all cane webbing IKEA dresser hacks.

So, what is cane webbing? From the wicker family, it is a natural material woven into different patterns. Although in the past it has typically been used to reseat cane chairs, it is taking the DIY world by storm these days. You can find it practically on all types of furniture. However, for today we are only sharing IKEA dressers featuring the on-trend material.

What we love the most about sharing multiple cane webbing dresser designs is how different each one looks. Same material but with completely different looks, which proves this is one seriously versatile material.

Leather Pulls

The black paint and leather pulls paired with the cane webbing creates an absolute statement piece. Transformed by Rin of Ramblings with Rin with no use of power tools. Easy instructions, a gorgeous outcome, and no power tools? Sign me up! Don’t be intimidated by its drastic transformation, this can be a doable project for even a beginner DIY enthusiast.

Cane Webbing

Gorgeously transformed by Julianna of Blush and Cameo. With the use of two stains, you can recreate this boho beauty, too! And the addition of champagne-colored handles perfectly complements the stained Tarva and cane webbing.

Texture Trim

Created by Gemma @caffeineandcacti we absolutely love the added detail of a textured trim around the cane webbing. Plus, the leaf handles on this all-white Tarva dresser create a soothing, cozy feeling to the space. Check out the rest of her home for some major inspirations!

Think Pink

We are obsessing over this light pink-painted IKEA Hemnes makeover by Little House on the Corner. Paired with brass handles above the cane webbing, this is one seriously chic piece.

Pine Dowels

With rectangle pine dowels as handles, this beauty was created by Kourtni of House on Longwood Lane to perfectly complement the rest of her baby’s cozy nursery.

New Legs

We love the deep green color Megan at Megan Bell Made choose to complement the cane webbing.  But the change of legs truly makes this a stand-out piece.

Sophisticated Cane Webbing

Designed by Diary of a Homebody, another black-painted Tarva. This time paired with gold drawer pulls to help create a chic and sophisticated look.

As a serial highlighter and tabber, this book would have been ABSOLUTELY COVERED in little tabs if it was a physical copy. My Kindle highlights will have to suffice until pub day (June 2027) because I have so many thoughts.

the ghosts, the art, the wasps, the homewrecking…

This book was strange, sad, funny, beautifully unsettling, and somehow incredibly comforting all at once… and I loved it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My full review ⚠️with spoilers ⚠️ is up on the blog!

Thank you @netgalley @spiegelandgrau @beckymandelbaum for this amazing ARC!
