Unwrapping Magic: A Joyful Tradition of Gifting A Kids Christmas Book Each Year!

December 10, 2022

A heartwarming tradition my mom has started for my kids each year is on Thanksgiving she gifts them a shiny new Christmas book–it’s like gifting a sprinkle of holiday magic that they can unwrap again and again! These aren’t just books – they’re doorways to winter wonderlands, tales of holiday adventures, and heartwarming stories of love and togetherness. That’s what the holiday is about, right? Togetherness.

The countdown to Christmas is a major deal in our home. So as the fall festivities begin to fade out, the air gets frosty, and the twinkling lights start to dance, the excitement in our home amps up a notch or two. The yearly tradition of a new kids Christmas book kicks off this excitement. These Christmas books aren’t just read; they’re lived, cherished, and tucked away in our memories.

If you’re looking for an easy way to sprinkle extra enchantment into your kid’s holiday season, why not join us in this merry tradition? It’s a chance to create cherished memories and remind us that the magic of Christmas is not just found in presents under the tree, but also in the stories we share.

“‘Twas the Night Before Christmas on the Farm” by Craig Manning

Step into a world where the magic of Christmas meets the charm of the farmyard in “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas on the Farm.”This delightful children’s book brings a fresh twist to a beloved classic, transporting young readers to a cozy rural setting where animals are just as excited for Santa’s visit as children are.

“Bear Stays Up for Christmas” by Karma Wilson & Jane Chapman

In the charming tale “Bear Stays Up for Christmas,” Bear usually hibernates through the winter, but this year, his friends are determined to keep him awake for the most magical time of the year. As they joyfully engage in holiday preparations, from decorating the tree to baking delicious treats, Bear discovers the joy of staying up and sharing special moments with his dear companions.

“Beauty and the Beast meets organized crime” that was enough for me. Instantly needed to read this. Loved it. Cannot wait for more because the ending? That cliffhanger? How dare you. Happy pub day @sadie_kincaidxx !! ♥️

“All fame cost her was everything.” 🎸✨💋
Darkening Song by Delphine Seddon was such a fun read. When I saw it being placed in the same space as #daisyjonesandthesix I immediately requested this ARC. Thank you @netgalley and @stmartinspress — I can’t wait for the adaptation!

Daisy Jones & The Six — one of my favorite book adaptations ever. 📚 More books need to be made into a limited TV series rather than crammed into a movie. #daisyjonesandthesix #bookadaptation #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #bookflatlay
