Spin Mop Bucket Review – Toddlers Can Help, Too!

February 17, 2022

On this week’s episode of I Tried It Because of Tiktok, I am reviewing the Spin Mop Bucket. I am fully engaged in “cleantok” on Tiktok. I love cleaning my own home, but there is something so oddly satisfying about watching someone else make their home sparkle. I think I can smell the major product dumps featuring Fabuloso through my screen. If you know, you know.

The first time I saw a video featuring the Spin Mop Bucket I was only mildly interested. It’s just a mop, right? I have a well-known mop that I use quite often and it seems to get the dirt off the floor just fine. It wasn’t until they took the mop head to the baseboards, walls, and crown molding collecting all dirt and dust with ease that I was hooked. Honestly, I needed this thing when pregnant, but now seven months postpartum I’m not fretting over the uncleaned baseboards during those last few months of pregnancy.

This post could contain affiliate links, which means I would receive a small commission at no cost to you should you shop using the links.

These days I use the Spin Mop literally every day. I have a seven-month-old who loves to play in his food and drop his food-covered spoons onto the hardwood floor every time he sits down to eat. Sometimes the spoon bounces all the way down the side and leg of the highchair on its way to the floor, so the mop wipes down the entire chair, too. The mop knows his highchair and floor underneath very well.

With a messy toddler and 100lb dog in the mix, there are plenty of other reasons to use the mop on a daily basis. Here are a few more reasons why the Spin Mop is my trusty best friend these days.

It’s Easy To Use

It’s ridiculously easy to use. Attach the mop head, fill the bucket with hot water and cleaning product (I like to use Fabuloso as I mentioned before), dunk the mop head, and spin! It really couldn’t be much easier. In fact, my 3-year-old has loved helping me clean since he could walk and the Spin Mop is definitely his favorite these days. Sorry vacuum.

Often times I will make the bucket ready to go and leave it in the room I want to be mopped and he does it on his own with so much enthusiasm. Yes, I do end up mopping over the room after him to get every little space he may have missed, but he happily gets the first go at it.

To make things even easier for overly helpful little ones, the mop handle can be made shorter. Perfect for tiny statures. On the flip side, it extends making it incredibly simple to get high up on walls.

It’s Fun To Use

Spinning the mop head is fun. Seriously, just ask my toddler. When there is no water in the bucket he’ll toss a toy in and refer to it as a merry-go-round. As an adult, it’s just as satisfying to spin the mop. The ease of use and execution will make it a more enjoyable experience especially if you hate to clean.

Mop Heads Are Easy To Clean

Again, thanks to being submerged in “cleantok” on TikTok I have learned the best ways to keep the mopheads looking as brand new as possible. One of the easiest ways to clean the mop head is to put it in your washer. Others soak them in Clorox and hot water in the mop bucket. In this video, you’ll see she adds detergent, borax, OxiClean, and Dawn to the mop bucket and allows the head to soak overnight to look brand new again.

The Price Is Right

The Spin Mop Bucket is priced right. For one mop and bucket, it runs around $30 — this price fluctuates slightly depending on Amazon sales. If you want one mop and bucket with three replacement heads (this is the option I have) you’re looking to spend around $50 instead. But as I said before, the mop heads are very easy to clean, so you could easily just get one mop head.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you try and love the Spin Mop as well!

As a serial highlighter and tabber, this book would have been ABSOLUTELY COVERED in little tabs if it was a physical copy. My Kindle highlights will have to suffice until pub day (June 2027) because I have so many thoughts.

the ghosts, the art, the wasps, the homewrecking…

This book was strange, sad, funny, beautifully unsettling, and somehow incredibly comforting all at once… and I loved it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My full review ⚠️with spoilers ⚠️ is up on the blog!

Thank you @netgalley @spiegelandgrau @beckymandelbaum for this amazing ARC!
