Fall Favorites and Things to do with Baby

October 10, 2019

The fall season has always been my favorite. Since I was a little girl I absolutely LOVED Halloween and everything that comes along with Fall. My love for this season never faded as I got older. In fact, it grew even stronger. After all, October was when my husband and I would celebrate our dating anniversary. Each year we would spend our anniversary going to haunted houses and carving pumpkins. Last year I celebrated Halloween while pregnant, which was a really fun reason to do a pregnant couple’s costume and wear ridiculous pumpkin-themed pregnancy shirts all month long. The things you can get away with when pregnant…am I right?

This fall season is a bit different from any other because we have that little baby pumpkin now! Needless to say, haunted houses are out (for now). But this fall season my husband and I decided we would do fall-like things every weekend with our little boy, John. It’s a great excuse to get us all out of the house and enjoy the fresh fall air, especially John. I love taking him outside and watching him explore life. It was fun in the summer, watching him listening to the bird’s chirp, watching butterflies flutter by, touching warm grass, feeling the warm sun on his face. Now I get to watch him find his favorite food (pumpkin!) in a field, touch an apple hanging from a tree, feel hay between his fingers on a hayride and feel a cool breeze on his skin.

Fall Things to Do with Baby

My husband and I were excited to figure out the best Fall things to do with a baby.  We made up a small list and have been adding to it ever since. It’s only the second week of October and we already have a few items checked off our list, but we have plenty more to get to! One that I am looking forward to (which is on the list below!) is helping our baby John make handprints on a pumpkin with paint! We already have a pumpkin for him which we got this past weekend at a pumpkin patch. Pictures of this painting adventure are sure to come soon!

If you have any fun suggestions of fall things to do with a baby, drop them below in the comments! I would love to have even more ideas to add to our growing list!

  1. visit a pumpkin patch
  2. go apple picking
  3. play in leaves
  4. go through a corn maze
  5. go on a hayride
  6. take baby in pumpkin pictures
  7. create handprints on a pumpkin with paint
  8. take a nature walk
  9. make a Halloween costume
  10. go trick-or-treating
  11. read Halloween books
  12. have a picnic
  13. visit a farmer’s market
  14. go to a sunflower field
  15. attend a fall festival

“All fame cost her was everything.” 🎸✨💋
Darkening Song by Delphine Seddon was such a fun read. When I saw it being placed in the same space as #daisyjonesandthesix I immediately requested this ARC. Thank you @netgalley and @stmartinspress — I can’t wait for the adaptation!

Daisy Jones & The Six — one of my favorite book adaptations ever. 📚 More books need to be made into a limited TV series rather than crammed into a movie. #daisyjonesandthesix #bookadaptation #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #bookflatlay
