5 Beauty Benefits of Lemon Water

It’s a no brainer: drinking plenty of water is super good for you. Want to stay hydrated with a beautiful glow? Add some lemon to your daily water intake! The best way to drink lemon water is to drink it warm first thing in the morning. Don’t like to drink it warm? That’s OK! The health benefits of lemon water are doubled when warm — so you aren’t missing out on those benefits, you’re just not getting AS MUCH as you could be!

Having a glass of warm lemon water first thing in the morning helps detoxify your body and gives you a serious energy boost. A dose of energy is enough of a reason for me to get in the habit of drinking lemon water every day. There are so many other great benefits, like aiding in digestion, boosting immunity, and supplying some serious beauty benefits. Still unsure if you want to give it a try? Read on to see how easy peasy lemon squeezy is can really be!

5 Beauty Benefits of Lemon Water

1. Skin Perfecter

Drinking lemon water can help purify the skin and the body. Lemon water is jam-packed with Vitamin C, which contains some serious antioxidant and anti-aging properties. The antioxidant properties of Vitamin C stimulate collagen production and help skin repair itself by reducing signs of aging and damage from the sun. Lemon water also aids in preventing wrinkles and dry skin, making it an all-around skin perfecter.

2. Acne Eraser

Lemon water helps keep skin clear with a healthy glow by nourishing from the inside out. Warm lemon water helps purge toxins from the body, naturally reducing acne. Lemon juice contains citric acid which is helpful for topically treating mild acne and dark spots; keeping skin even-toned. However, it is important to remember to heavily dilute lemon water if you are planning to use it topically to avoid any serious skin irritation.

3. Breath Freshener

Lemon water can help freshen breath, and honestly what’s more beautiful than that? Lemon water helps neutralize strong odors from food, so make sure to drink a glass after each meal. Lemon can help stimulate saliva, preventing a dry mouth which can, in turn, lead to bad breath. Always be careful about brushing your teeth after drinking lemon water. It is recommended to wait at least 30 minutes.

4. Weight Loss Stimulator

Having a glass of warm lemon water in the morning can help jumpstart your metabolism for the day. Drinking lemon water throughout your day can help you maintain a healthy weight by remaining properly hydrated. Studies show that staying hydrated can potentially help increase your metabolism. Plus, lemon water is a low-calorie beverage, making it super easy to cut out extra calories from high-calorie beverages choices (soda, juice, etc.).

5. Energizer and Stress Reliever

When you feel good, you look good. Lemon water helps naturally energize your body and mind, without the caffeine crash later. The scent of lemon can help clear your mind and enhance your mood, all while providing constant hydration to the body.  The high amounts of Vitamin C found in lemon water can help reduce the effects of stress, both on the body and mind.

Bottom line: give lemon water a try. Your body and mind will thank you!

As a serial highlighter and tabber, this book would have been ABSOLUTELY COVERED in little tabs if it was a physical copy. My Kindle highlights will have to suffice until pub day (June 2027) because I have so many thoughts.

the ghosts, the art, the wasps, the homewrecking…

This book was strange, sad, funny, beautifully unsettling, and somehow incredibly comforting all at once… and I loved it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My full review ⚠️with spoilers ⚠️ is up on the blog!

Thank you @netgalley @spiegelandgrau @beckymandelbaum for this amazing ARC!
