Go Wild Over These Safari Nursery Ideas

May 14, 2020

Happy Thursday! Ready to go wild over safari nursery decor? Today I am sharing some of the sweetest safari nursery ideas to help inspire you to create your own sweet space for your little one. From bold and statement-making to sweet and subtle, I have put together a list of all types of decor to help fit your safari-style needs. I will admit, there is a bit of a Where’s Waldo theme going on in here, only it’s Where’s The Giraffe?

As you will see, a tall plush giraffe is prevalent in the safari nursery theme. And you will see why. It’s an easy and fun piece of decor to add, and it can make such a difference to the room!  Have fun exploring the nursery options below and take notes for creating your own fun space. Enjoy!

Raffia Decor

As I mentioned above, the one item you will repeatedly see in safari nurseries: a big standing giraffe! It’s definitely a necessity for any safari nursery. The giraffe plus the raffia decor help create the safari vibe in this warm nursery.

Statement-Making Wallpaper

I am in love with this statement-making wallpaper! With something this grand, you only need to subtly add more safari decor, like the stuffed animals and the elephant wall decor.

Warm + Subtle

I love how subtle yet impactful the decor is in this nursery. From the simple animal wall art, woven furniture, elephant blanket, and my all-time favorite: the two-toned crib! The nursery feels warm and ready for playtime! Peek-a-boo, we see you, giraffe!

Bright + Subtle

Again, a really clean and subtle way to decorate a safari nursery. I absolutely love the white and natural wood pairing. It really brightens up the space and feels so welcoming and calming for your baby (and you).

Perfect Pairings

What’s not to love about this nursery? Let’s start with the obvious: the palm leaf wallpaper. The green truly POPS and sets the tone for the space. The rattan light pendant and basket, the grey dresser and oval crib, the warm canopy, and the giraffe. It is perfection.

Hidden Safari Surprises

How sweet is this wallpapered closet? I like to think of it as a happy hidden surprise. It may be cacti watercolor wallpaper, not so much on the typical safari theme… but the playful watercolor giraffe artwork is a sweet safari touch to this playful nursery. Plus, it’s your nursery — play by your own decorating rules!

Safari Adventure

This nursery is literally safari decor perfection. Let’s start with the warm statement wall of wallpaper that goes perfectly with the bamboo furniture (with greenery on top and next to) and the warm tassel chandelier.  One of my favorites in a nursery: a black metal crib, that pairs perfectly with the black mandala area rug and pouf ottoman. I would feel like I was on a safari adventure every time I entered the room!

Touch of Greenery

Adding a touch of greenery is a perfect way to add playfulness to a nursery (not to mention that beautiful hexagon shelving).  With artificial plants or botanical bedding, adding hints of greenery is a perfect way to tie together a safari nursery.

Thanks for stopping by! Although I always take the time to research photos to the best of my ability, sometimes I cannot find the original owner. If I have mistagged a photo and it belongs to you please email me with a link to your photo so I can give proper credit.

“All fame cost her was everything.” 🎸✨💋
Darkening Song by Delphine Seddon was such a fun read. When I saw it being placed in the same space as #daisyjonesandthesix I immediately requested this ARC. Thank you @netgalley and @stmartinspress — I can’t wait for the adaptation!

Daisy Jones & The Six — one of my favorite book adaptations ever. 📚 More books need to be made into a limited TV series rather than crammed into a movie. #daisyjonesandthesix #bookadaptation #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #bookflatlay
