COOLA Sunless Tan Luminizing Body Serum Review

March 23, 2022

Now that it is officially spring I’m already dreaming about beach days with fresh sunkissed skin. Until then, a little sunless tanner will help make me feel like a fun, relaxing summer vacation is here. Honestly, I like to use a little sunless tanner all year round, at least on parts of my face visible in winter — so basically just my neck and face. It’s an attempt to not perfectly resemble a restless ghost. Which is exactly what I look like most days.

A few years back I created a list featuring some of the best sunless tanners, COOLA being one of them, of course. Why do I love COOLA products? They’re organic and super moisturizing, without leaving you with a greasy after-feel. My daily dose of COOLA comes from the matte moisturizer, which literally feels like a cloud on your skin (perfect for oily skin).

COOLA Sunless Tanners not only give you the look of a healthy glow but with clean beauty properties, you can actually achieve firmer healthier skin. It’s a total win in the beauty world. Today I am sharing with you my COOLA Sunless Tan Luminizing Body Serum Review so you, too, can achieve a healthy sunkissed glow this summer!

What makes this sunless tanner differ from all others I’ve ever tried is that it’s a serum! I’ve done spray, lotion, mouse — but this is my first experience with a serum. It’s recommended to use the body brush applicator for best results.

Another difference between this and all others I’ve tried is the pearlescent glow it gives you. AKA, it has a shimmer to it! If you want an extra sunkissed glow to your body, this is the one for you! I say “body”, because I have not try this on my face. With the added dose of pearlescent mica (the shimmer, y’all) I was afraid of my sensitive face clogging, even with following proper tanning procedures.

Overall, it’s a soft and subtle tan, which is great for currently having zero tan whatsoever. It’s buildable too if you want more than a light sunkissed look. No streaks, no terrible after smell. It’s a must-have for achieving a glow this summer!

As a reminder, if you’re going to use sunless tanners make sure you exfoliate first. My go-to for months now is Tree Hut’s Coconut Lime. Works great and smells amazing! Always shave the day (or two) before. And finally, moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!

This is one of the best historical fiction books I’ve ever read (listened to, thank you @netgalley). If you have the chance to get your hands on this one, READ IT!

It doesn’t just tell you what happened in history, it truly makes you feel it. It educates you and moves you all at the same time. Thank you @tammyehuf I’ll read anything you write.

My #ThoughtDaughter book stack from July—the month I tried to pick a theme that resonated the most with me. My standouts: Alone With You In The Ether, The Virgin Suicides, and My Year Of Rest and Relaxation which I think about every time I buy an iced coffee and consider buying a second. #bookstagram #bookstack #myyearofrestandrelaxation #alonewithyouintheether
