27 Weeks Pregnancy Update
How far along: 27 weeks!
How big is baby: About the size of a cucumber.
Total weight gain: 22 lbs
Maternity clothes: I love being able to keep my pre-pregnancy style, which for me includes skinny jeans all the time! One of my favorites can be found right here! And I am super in love with this bell sleeve and lace detail shirt. It keeps me feeling pretty and feminine.
Stretch marks: None, I love using this cream every day to continue to prevent them!
Sleep: Some nights are OK, and some are a serious struggle! I’m talking 2 hours TOPS a night. Is pregnancy insomnia a thing?
Best moment of this week: Shopping at IKEA with my husband for nursery items! While shopping my little guy was kicking a ton, and he NEVER kicks when I am up and moving. He knew we were shopping for him!
Miss anything: Putting on socks and shoes without struggling or asking for help.
Movement: Lots of kicking, especially when I eat sweets or dad talks – he must love his voice!
Food cravings: This week I’ve been craving Subway, which I haven’t had in at least two years. I could literally smell and taste the bread just thinking about it. I’ve had it twice and its only Tuesday. This was my first job at 16-years-old, maybe that’s why this particular smell of bread still lives in my memory so well!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing anymore! It’s SUCH a relief!
Belly button in or out: It’s out! When I laugh it pops out more! My husband (the reason for my constant laughter) thinks this is hilarious.
Wedding rings on or off: Still on! No swollen feet or hands!
Happy or moody most of the time: Very happy most of the time… except when I am really hungry, and I get really hungry really fast these days!
Looking forward to: Putting together all of baby’s furniture and decorating the nursery!
