Blue Nursery Ideas for Boys and Girls

August 11, 2020

Happy Tuesday! The other day I was rocking my little guy back to sleep in his room (side note, we just went on a mini beach trip where he slept in bed with me, so he took a few days to readjust to sleeping in his crib again) and I was looking around his nursery, admiring the sweet decor and soft blue walls. I’ve definitely been thinking about baby #2 lately. I am in no rush, but the thought is always there. When is the best time? How close in age do I want them to be? Will I get another sweet as can be mommy’s boy? But the thought that popped into the forefront of my mind while he gently dozed off in my arms, would I repaint the room if I have a girl?

I know, I know, gender-neutral all the way, pink shouldn’t be just for girls, blue shouldn’t be just for boys… and I agree, but I also can’t help that my mind automatically goes there. If we have a little girl would I paint over the beautiful blue to something more stereotypical girl? I love the soft, cool shade, so naturally, I decided then and there I would keep it. Having a blue nursery is definitely a great gender-neutral option. Everyone loves blue, right? Today I want to share with you a few beautiful blue nursery ideas for both boys and girls Enjoy!

Glamorous Blue

TIt’s no surprise the all-too-stylish Rachel Parcell would have such a glamorous blue nursery design. With two-toned furniture, bold prints in art and decor, and metal furnishing, “glam” perfectly sums up this blue space.

Emily Anderson refers to her baby boy’s nursery as “classy coastal” and I couldn’t agree more. With a subtle surfers theme, the blue feathered wallpaper truly sets the tone for this too cool nursery.

As a serial highlighter and tabber, this book would have been ABSOLUTELY COVERED in little tabs if it was a physical copy. My Kindle highlights will have to suffice until pub day (June 2027) because I have so many thoughts.

the ghosts, the art, the wasps, the homewrecking…

This book was strange, sad, funny, beautifully unsettling, and somehow incredibly comforting all at once… and I loved it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My full review ⚠️with spoilers ⚠️ is up on the blog!

Thank you @netgalley @spiegelandgrau @beckymandelbaum for this amazing ARC!
