How to Make Your Home Smell Like Fall

Oil Diffuser Recipes For Fall

With summer slowly coming to an end its time to start thinking about fall– I know I certainly have! I absolutely LOVE the fall season for so many reasons: the cozy textures, the beautiful colors, pumpkin EVERYTHING, the smells! Ahh, the smells of fall! Do you step outside or put the windows down cruising in your car and can’t help but smile over the scents in the air? This happened just last night with my husband and I. We both couldn’t help but smile and breathe in the crisp scent in the air while driving home.

There is truly something magical about taking those deep breaths of cool, crisp, fall scented air. By September 1st I already have out my fall scented candles and pumpkin decor. I have no shame in my fall obsession. Seeing as it is already halfway through September, you know my fall state of mind is already here to stay. There is no shame in sipping on a pumpkin-flavored iced coffee while dreaming of over-sized sweaters and plaid (only dreaming, because it is still SO hot lately). If fall makes you happy, embrace it! Especially since it’s been proven that early holiday decorators are much happier people!

Fall Diffuser Blends

There is nothing like having the scent of fall lingering throughout your entire home. You enjoy it so much outside, why not bring it in? My favorite way to do this: oil diffusers! I love love love oil diffusers! They’re really safe to use in the home and help create such a long-lasting and wonderful scent, no matter the season! Fall aromas give your home a warm and cozy feeling. So grab a blanket, fill up your oil diffuser, and enjoy the fall scent in your home!

Here are a few really great and affordable oil diffuser options!

Books, Books to Film, Turner Classic Movies, and Outlander are topics (aside from my kids, husband, & two cats) that elicit instant joy for me. Here at 'Home With Two' you'll find those topics in plenty -- amongst so much more! Thank you for being here!

I love making my house smell like fall! I have scented candles, potpourri and I just started making sugar scrubs (brown sugar for starts). All of which make my house a delightful blend of fall aromas!

Thanks for a great article. I can tell you were raised properly with proper home protocol! I’ll bet you have lovely fall decorations too 🙂

This is one of the best historical fiction books I’ve ever read (listened to, thank you @netgalley). If you have the chance to get your hands on this one, READ IT!

It doesn’t just tell you what happened in history, it truly makes you feel it. It educates you and moves you all at the same time. Thank you @tammyehuf I’ll read anything you write.

My #ThoughtDaughter book stack from July—the month I tried to pick a theme that resonated the most with me. My standouts: Alone With You In The Ether, The Virgin Suicides, and My Year Of Rest and Relaxation which I think about every time I buy an iced coffee and consider buying a second. #bookstagram #bookstack #myyearofrestandrelaxation #alonewithyouintheether
