The Sweetest Pregnancy Announcement Letterboard Ideas

January 27, 2021

Happy Wednesday! If you know me and my blog, you know I’ve always loved letterboards. I originally used them to document my first pregnancy as well as my son’s monthly milestones for the first year. It was close to impossible to get him to sit still after five months, which is why I have yet to do any others with him after that final ONE-YEAR letterboard. What a fun (and exhausting) idea that turned out to be! They’re so fun to look back on, plus they help me remember what exactly was happening during that month with him (first tooth, first word, etc).

But before you can start to take those adorable baby letterboard pictures, you have to have the baby and make the announcement! Letterboards are a super sweet and fun way to make your pregnancy announcement. Whether you want to pose with the letterboard, have your four-legged baby included, or add in your first sonogram for an adorable flatlay– there is a special way that works for everyone to announce their new bundle of joy with a letterboard. Enjoy!

Sweet & Simple Announcement

Keep your announcement sweet, simple, and right to the point! A letterboard with a straight to the point “Hello Baby” paired with your baby’s first sonogram is an all-too-precious way to announce to your friends and family that you are expecting.

Bumps Out

If you can manage to hold in your sweet surprise, wait to announce until you have a bump to show with your letterboard! By then you may even have a sonogram to add that looks like a baby, and not just a little peanut!

Gender Reveal

Not only are you announcing your biggest news EVER, but you’re also revealing your baby’s gender! It’s a quick and mess-free way to do a combo baby and gender reveal.

Intimate At-Home Announcement

A sweet and intimate at-home announcement with just your partner (and trusty letterboard) is sure to become a favorite framed moment that lives in your home forever.

Four-Legged Baby Announcement

Have a four-legged baby already at home? Include them in your announcement for an extra dose of sweetness! Looking for more pregnancy announcements with dogs?  There’s a post for that!

Siblings Announcement

Maybe you already have a babe (or more) at home and want to include them in your announcement. There are so many sweet ways to do this, but any mom or dad out there are sure to get this particular announcement stuck in their head all day… doo doo doo doo!

Due Date with Baby’s Breath

I can’t get over how beautifully simple this due date announcement surrounded by baby’s breath is. With a sweet sonogram and pair of booties, this is sure to be a scroll stopper on everyone’s feed!

Make It Unique

Add a funny saying or sweet poem to make your announcement stand out from the rest. And of course, add in those sweet booties, sonogram, and an adorable onesie (locally grown — how clever!) to complete your announcement.

Another Baby

An easy way to announce another addition to your ever-growing family — especially if your little one(s) isn’t interested in posing with the letterboard!

“All fame cost her was everything.” 🎸✨💋
Darkening Song by Delphine Seddon was such a fun read. When I saw it being placed in the same space as #daisyjonesandthesix I immediately requested this ARC. Thank you @netgalley and @stmartinspress — I can’t wait for the adaptation!

Daisy Jones & The Six — one of my favorite book adaptations ever. 📚 More books need to be made into a limited TV series rather than crammed into a movie. #daisyjonesandthesix #bookadaptation #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #bookflatlay
