Beauty Benefits From a Daily Dose of ACV

April 16, 2020

Today on the blog I am sharing with you one of my all-time favorite secrets (or maybe not so secret) for a natural beauty boost. I am talking about Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)! I have been using ACV for years now, probably around seven years to be exact. My interest in ACV first came about when I discovered it could be used to help treat acne. As someone who had always lived with a pimple on my face for what felt like all the time (even after trying every single product available), I was more than intrigued.

It was a miracle worker for me, to say the least. Never again did I have to worry about a constant pimple showing up. The best part, it was a natural remedy and so affordable. One bottle of AVC would last me forever. What I did was create a mild toner using 3/4 water, 1/4 ACV and used it with a cotton ball after I cleansed my face every day. You can read about my entire ACV cleansing routine in an old post of mine about ACV to help treat acne.

In addition to the toner, I would drink a glass of water with a shot of ACV (or take just a shot of ACV because it’s much faster) every morning for its awesome cleansing benefits (treat acne from the inside and out) and an energy-booster.

Even after seven years, it is still a struggle to want to keep up with this. Because if you don’t already know, most people agree that ACV tastes awful. It’s really bitter. The first time I tried it I thought, “nope, no way will I ever do this again…” Seven years strong, I am still making a sour face.

*FYI — if you are going to drink it, make sure you shake the bottle every single time. Don’t make the horrible and extra bitter-tasting mistake of not shaking the bottle.

acv as a gummy

Since I’ve never really gotten used to the bitter taste, I was really intrigued by the idea of an ACV gummy. I definitely didn’t want to chew on something that tasted just like pure ACV. A shot of it would always be faster, right? Thus, I was really excited to be given the opportunity to try Goli ACV Gummies. At first bite, I was in love. The gummies give you the same great benefits of taking ACV but they taste sweet!

Although I will still do an ACV toner, I think most of my days of taking a shot of ACV are in the past and I will forever be a Goli Gummy customer! After all, I need all the energy I can get with chasing my son around all day!

If you’re interested in trying Goli AVC Gummies, you can check out Amazon or go to Goli’s website and use code julieejacks for 5% off your order (only valid on the Goli website).

As a serial highlighter and tabber, this book would have been ABSOLUTELY COVERED in little tabs if it was a physical copy. My Kindle highlights will have to suffice until pub day (June 2027) because I have so many thoughts.

the ghosts, the art, the wasps, the homewrecking…

This book was strange, sad, funny, beautifully unsettling, and somehow incredibly comforting all at once… and I loved it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My full review ⚠️with spoilers ⚠️ is up on the blog!

Thank you @netgalley @spiegelandgrau @beckymandelbaum for this amazing ARC!
